The rigorous workout is balanced with Peace Yoga, practiced at the beginning of each class.
Classes are professionally structured and new students receive individualized, step-by-step instruction. Class components include “basics” or the fundamental Taekwondo moves practiced as a group, “form” or a pattern of movements unique to each rank, various partnered combinations and self-defense techniques.
At the Peace School, Traditional Taekwondo is taught as an energetic practice of peace. We never think in terms of fighting an enemy. We do not compete in tournaments as this is counter to the purpose of the art. When we practice with a partner, we work together in harmony so both can improve. The result is always win-win, never win-lose.
